Experience!
Tricia Aldridge
Tricia was born in Texas and started riding in Alaska when she was two years old.

By the age of five she could ride a horse by herself, and she received her first pony when she was six at the end of her kindergarten year.

Living on a farm in Tennessee for seven years, she had unlimited riding time

She attended over 100 horse shows including the Tennessee State Show and she has won multiple awards and ribbons.

By age 12 she already had over 3,000 hours of riding experience, was on her fourth horse and had already had experience riding dozens more!

Moved to the DFW in March, 2000.  By age 13 she was hired to train someone’s horse that had seriously injured its rider.  After that success many more horse owners started
hiring her, and she started working at a separate barn that hired her to train and fix dozens and dozens of problem horses as well as give a few private riding lessons.

Tricia has attended and ridden in many clinics including 4-H, reining, Monty Roberts, Martha Josey and Lynn McKenzie.

She has assisted Dr. Britt Clark, DVM all day in surgery at a large equine veterinarian facility near Gatesville, Texas and she spent a week with a large breeder in Tennessee
when she went back to visit during spring break.

She has ridden English, Western, and Saddle Seat, but her focus is on play days and barrel racing.

She is an advanced bareback rider, and frequently demonstrates to her parent’s students various riding skills and techniques.

She enjoys playing tag and other games on horseback with some of her father’s younger students.  This unique method of training incorporates both balance and focus for not
only the horse but for the rider as well.

Tricia trains, helps care for, exercises and shows most of the M-Bar-K Farms horses, most of which are either raised from yearlings or have been rehabilitated after being
neglected or abused by their previous owners.  Tricia has done so well with our young horses that we decided to let her get a stallion.  We bought him as a yearling and she
trained him so well that he is now giving riding lessons as a three year old!

Currently Tricia is becoming very successful traveling all over the metroplex helping people solve problems they are having with their own horses.  People who have had no
success hiring other trainers are just amazed at how fast Tricia is able to find the root of the problem and not only take care of it permanently without abusing the horse, but also
to teach the owner to prevent it from happening again.  Usually in just one or two two-hour sessions.  She has traveled as far away as Benbrook, Lake Dallas, Van Alstyne and
Aubrey.  See some of her testimonials on our testimonials page.
February 23, 2006 - Tricia attended the 2006 Equine Workshops at Texas A & M University, put on by the Texas Cooperative Extension and instructed by Dr. Brett Scott and Dr. Pete
Gibbs with a Training Demonstration by AQHA Judge Sharon Wellman.  She attended the Mare/Foal Management Workshop and the Performance Horse Owners Workshop.  We
look forward to sharing the things that she learned with the M-Bar-K Students!
May 27, 2006 - Tricia was hired by the Make A Wish Foundation!  She was able to help a 13 year old girl realize her dream of having a horse of her own.  Tricia helped Make a Wish
purchase the supplies the horse needed.  As well as give the donated horse some refresher
training.  She also gave this girl a series of riding lessons.
July 16, 2006 - Tricia attended a two day Lynn McKenzie barrel racing clinic held at the Rendon Indoor Arena in Rendon, TX on July 15 and 16, 2006.  She took Hemi with her to work
with and they accomplished a lot!  We were excited that Tricia won the first place award in the novice division and Kay Kooyman won second place on Digitys Happy Flame a horse
that we raised and trained.  Congratulations Kay and Tricia!!!
January through May 2008 - Tricia and Dodge are in training with a National Barrel Horse Trainer getting ready for the Old Fort Days Futurity in May, 2008 in Fort Smith, AR.  This is
a show with $350,000 in prize money, first place wins $60,000!  Each horse has to be no older then four years old this year and they can't have been shown before Dec. 1, 2007.  This
will be Tricia's first National show, Good Luck Tricia and Dodge!

RE: Letter of Recommendation - Tricia Aldridge

When I decided to learn how to horseback ride I called on M-Bar-K Farms.  Tricia Aldridge has been
my trainer since January 2008 and because of her dedication and patience I have realized a dream
while having an incredible time doing it.  This lifelong dedication and passion for horseback riding
is why Tricia is not only an excellent teacher but is also successful when it comes to competing.

I am an entrepreneur who owns a real estate investment firm in Dallas, Texas.  Though this is what
I do full time I also help run our family consulting business and have launched two other startups
thus far in my career.  As an entrepreneur I am impressed when I seen an individual as young as
Tricia, have more drive, dedication and accountability than most of my friends and employees.
Though her many past achievements and experience in horseback riding are certainly impressive, it
is my opinion that what separates her from the crowd is her knowledge of her field, her discipline,
and her willingness to act on opportunity.

Today, I find myself doing business with Tricia.  When it comes to investing, I take into great
consideration the values of the person I am dealing with.  Honesty, accountability and integrity
weight heavily because without them, it can make a good opportunity easily turn into one to ad to my
school of hard knocks.  I can honestly say that Tricia has all those qualities.

It is my hope that this letter helps you see beyond Tricia's talent and experience and see that you
will be helping a leader and a role model of our community achieve greater success.  If you have
any questions please feel free to contact me as I would gladly help in any way.

Sincerely,

July 2008 - Tricia is continuing to show Dodge and Sparx in barrels and is currently interested in seeking sponsorships.  Below is a reference letter from one of her students.  Tricia is
qualified to go to several world shows over the next year and she currently has two more horses she is training to run in the Old Fort Days Futurity and Derby as well as the Future
Fortunes Futurity.  Tricia has also started taking lessons with a Professional Reining trainer to enhance her barrel racing skills as well as to pass along this knowledge to her students
and to utilize this awesome method of training with her clients own horses that she is training.  She hopes to start showing her new stallion
Poco in reining classes by next spring!
